Re: I have a question for the group

Thanks for the reply Gail, This has been the second time since Oct. that
something has happened. The service tech at the center couldn't figure out
what is wrong so he sent it in to singer. I called and told them that their
training program stunk as far as training their techniciana..lol.. I just
am so frustrated with everything, and my big thing is why does it take 2
weeks just to figure out the problem or rather NOT figure out the problem I
know there is alot of technical stuff with these machines. I do belong to a
futura group and she couldn't figure out what was wrong..she tried
everything she knew to help me. It just was so strange, I had just finished
stitching out a fsl heart, shut off the machine but left the software open,
came back and tried to turn it on and all that would happen was buzzing and
flashing lights...No warning that there was anything wrong. I am now
starting to wish I had bought another brand...lol...I think I will look into
it...Thanks again Gail...hugs..Barbara

Hi Barbara,

I had a futura CE100 and had nothing but problems with it. I had
to send it back to Singer Corp twice(at my expense which was about
$35)for the same problem. They would send me a new machine and after
a few minutes of stitching the bobbin case would "jump" out of the
place where it sits and the needle would go right through the
plastic. When I called the customer service center the rep pretty
much called me a liar and send "that isn't possible". I finally spoke
to a manager who then told me that it was a manufacturing defect in
the metal bracket that the bobbin case sits in. I told her the
problems that I had with the cust service dept and that I had
purchased a Singer machine because of their good reputation, but that
I would never buy another Singer. They sent me a new machine that was
manufactured after that defect was fixed. I used that machine for
about a year when it started to make a metal-on- metal schreeching
noise. I took it to a singer dealer to see about getting it fixed and
was told that she didn't know without taking it all apart and there
were no guarantees. She gave me almost what i originally paid for the
machine in store credit and i upgraded to the Brother 4000D which I
absolutely love.
There are many that have the Singer and sing praises but I
unfortunately did not have good luck.

Gail
