PowerSDR Error at Execution
Where do I find the setup instructions for the PowerSDR software. Found one link to them was broken, and the other said I had to overlay the binary with other.. but that was all it said. What does this mean?
Tried just running the executable and all I got was an "Initializing Database" along with the following error message box. See attached. Bill |

First go to the flex-radio.com site and download the PowerPDR software from

there and go through the installation procedure which will set up a directory with the programs in it in c:\Program files\flexradio systems Next get the SR-40 files. There will be 3 of them in a zip file. Extract them into the directory that has the flexradio files in it. A couple files will be replaced, that is what is meant by "overlaying". 73 - Mike WA8BXN -------Original Message-------

I got that fixed already. Had to also enable MME and set Priority to high to get rid of the popping. Running the wav files, it appears to work ok. Although I am not used to the tuning and controls yet. It is very confusing. The filtering seems to work fine though. Running a SoundMax Integrated Digital Audio card here on an ASUS P4P800D motherboard with 2.4 GHz CPU and 512 MB of ram, Windows XP Pro SP2. Be sure to down load v1.4.4 from the FlexRadio site. Version 1.4.5 is there also but Bill has not provided the nessary overlay files at the moment. Hope the little receiver will play well for you. 73, Tony KB9YIG ----- Original Message -----

That is what I am running. I was just getting the software setup. I don't have my SoftRock 40 built yet. Have to do some prep for the Sunday School tomorrow morning, so will have to call it quits for now. Maybe will get to building it tomorrow afternoon. I was kind of amazed PowerSDR works with my oddball sound card. Bill Tony Parks wrote: Hi Bill, |
