Re: cannot seem to get Ensemble RX II working

Hello again Joni,

I am no computer guy, but I too once explored trying to get more than 92KHz
bandwidth on my softrock display. If I recall correctly, the reason you
cannot get that much bandwidth is due to the drivers used in conjunction
with processing the sound card outputs. However, on a practical basis, I
find that even 92 KHz is too much for me. I have trouble reading the
frequency if the scale of the spectrum isn't spread out enough. Maybe it's
just my eyesight.

At any rate, my Ensemble II HF and its companion Ensemble II VHF for two
meters have done very well for me over the years.

Good luck getting yours back up and running.

Just about everything's working now. I found some info on calibration
and just doing "A calibration" is good enough for now. Other than that,
WWV finally came in better and listened to some ham activity on 40/80
meters.

I decided to try using my external sound card, a Behringer umc202hd,
which is 192 Khz, instead of the internal M-audio Audiophile 2496 (96
Khz), but I had a hard time getting past even 48 Khz bandwidth with the
Behringer while using HDSDR on Win 7. Any ideas for using that welcome.
Thanks again.
