Re: Power SDR going deaf?

I did try to null in SDRadio but as you found, it didn't have much if
any effect.

I have downloaded the 'spare' data base from Flex so at least when
things get way out of hand I have a normalized point to start over from.

Just a curiosity on my part. I enjoy dinking around with the
software, and love listening to the nice clean audio of the SR. I
really hate turning on the noisy 857, but can only listen so long
before I have to do something about it.

I appreciate your input.

Hmm - can't say I did a detailed A/B comparison, but I did give it a
quick
try tonight and did not notice much of a difference one way or the
other,
although band seemed a bit dead this evening. I did have a problem
with
SDRadio in I was not able to null the image too well on SDRadio -- the
phase control had some effect, but the amplitude control did not
seem to do
anything for me.

It also looks like SDRadio needs reverse IQ set for a SoftRock.

Did you null the image signal on SDRadio on this test? Wondering if
hearing more sigs with SDRadio was a result of the image rejection
being off?

Subject: Power SDR going deaf?

I initially started using the soft rock with the Power SDR software
but last night downloaded the SDRadio and am hearing a lot more
signals with it. I was able to easily null the image in the Power SDR
setup and when there are a lot of siganls I don't notice anything
except that it sounds real nice.

So, I was wondering if anyone else has done and A/B with the 2 pieces
of software and were able to tell a difference?
