Trip to the VA clinic

Had to make a trip to the VA clinic yesterday to let them draw blood for an upcoming doctor's appointment.
When I got there, and I got there early, the place was quite full with several of us standing as all the chairs were already taken. When a chair came available, I sat down and shortly the Vet next to me got called up so another Vet sat down in that chair.
We sat there for awhile and then the fellow leaned over and said, "You know, about everyone here had to fast before coming so no body got breakfast. Now, what channel to they put the TV on, the danged cooking channel." We both got a good laugh and agreed it was sort of like torture to sit there and see them cooking such good looking dishes and knowing they probably tasted pretty good as well.
Yes, when I got home, I did eat my breakfast even if it was a little past mid-morning.

Roy, I reckon I will have to hand off the birthday wishes to Toni at midnight on the Feb. first as that is my birthday. So, on the second, give her a big Bobcat hug.

Wish we could send out a ¡°Bar the door!¡± With this storm. ?Central Texas is much cooler than recent days/months, but it is pretty typical for January/Feb. here¡.low 20¡¯s at night and possibly 40¡¯s middays.

Interesting that we have gotten so spoiled here with almost Springlike temps until this week. I sure have heard more negative comments this year than before with gradual cool down starting in mid November. We get spoiled quickly.

Who ever left the door open on the north end of Texas, will you please close it!

I've had all the winter that I want and I'm looking for summer, or at least spring.
