I don’t know about the rest of you but I’m loving this cold weather after so much hot weather.? Of course fat boys sweat a lot.? Right now it’s 31 degrees out and sleeting.? Maybe snow later today. ?Reminds
me of my youth hoping for enough ice and snow to have a snow day from school.? Still a kid at heart.

Wish we could send out a “Bar the door!” With this storm. ?Central Texas is much cooler than recent days/months, but it is pretty typical for January/Feb. here….low 20’s at night and possibly 40’s middays.
Interesting that we have gotten so spoiled here with almost Springlike temps until this week. I sure have heard more negative comments this year than before with gradual cool down starting in mid November. We get spoiled quickly.
?We are trying to hold it back in Kansas but it is coming over the border.?
?
Who ever left the door open on the north end of Texas, will you please close it!
I've had all the winter that I want and I'm looking for summer, or at least spring.

Changed the light bulbs and flipped on the switch, nothing happened. Next, I took the plate off the switch and checked that the switch was working and it was working fine. That left the back porch wall light as the culprit. A trip to Lowe's and back home with a new light fixture and a bulb with a sensor for dusk to dawn operation. Finally got the right breaker turned off and tested to make sure before I started messing with the wire nuts. The old light came off fairly easy and the new one went on with the usual issues with mounting brackets. Got it all together and put the new bulb in and turned the breaker back on. A flip of the light switch and the light came on and in about a minute, it went out. That is the way it is supposed to work when the sun is shining so I called it a success. Wonder what I can to for fun next week??????

In Temple--this whole area has been? getting cold, slow rain for
several days, and we're supposed to get some more. VERY welcome
after a hot, dry summer that's been hard on the trees, which have
been pathetically showing strain for several years due to heat and
drought. And we've been having abnormally warm winters punctuated
by vicious cold snaps like the "snowmageddon" that trashed the
power grid over the whole state several years ago.
But Thanksgiving was good as usual, and I'm thankful we're
"gifted" with understanding we're invited to give thanks IN
everything, not FOR everything. The "attitude of gratitude" is as
good for us as spinach.
So much for the sermon. Merry Christmas. Now I wonder who else
lives close to me. It's too risky to try to drive to San Angelo
alone these days, but I can make it short distances. Is it
possible and advisable to create and distribute a list of names,
private emails, phone numbers and/or addresses (or just cities of
residence) for people on the list?
