GPIO & DMK URI 3
I'm looking for some help with getting a GPIO command setup for a repeater disable function. We have had a little bit of interference from so people and want to be able to turn the repeater off for a few to try and get them to stop. I'm running a Pi 3B+ with a DMK URI with ASL3, has anyone here done this before? Thanks, KC0AMP

Tait TB-9300 Repeaters for sale 2
Good afternoon, I have a couple of the Tait TB-9300 VHF repeaters for sale - currently they are set for Tier 3 DMR Trunking. These are complete units - reciter, 100w PA, and 48vdc to 24vdc power supply. These are dated May 2013 and working when removed from service. The reciter says 148-174 MHz and the PA 136-174 MHz. I have programmed ham frequencies down to 145.270 TX / 144.670 RX and the VCO stayed locked on the reciter unit. Does anyone have an interest in these either as a complete unit or as spare parts? I'm willing to part them out if someone needs parts. Module / parts would include the PA, Receiter, power supply and chassis. Contact me off list with offers or for pictures. Some GE Delta S vhf radios - free 4
Hi all I inherited several GE Delta -S radios, 4 or 5, that have been tuned for the 2m ham radio band. These were main + Spares for a split radio 2m repeater that has since been converted to a digital mode repeater. These have the 100w pa in them. I also have the programmer and a DOS program to update them. I live in Ellwood City PA, about 30 miles north of Pittsburgh PA. Local pickup in the area only! I am not interested in boxing, packing and shipping them cross country. These radios are free to a good home, use them for repeaters, or remote receivers or internet remote base stations, mobile radios, base stations, packet, detach the RF deck and use them as 100w amplifiers. Whatever floats your canoe. If interested, contact me direct at N3SDO1@... 73 Ed

running autopatch 23
Hi all, I am running an Arcom rc210 repeater controller at a tower site that has no phone line, and I don*t want to pay for one. Is there a way to use a data package from an ISP over the cellular network to connect to the autopatch and controller? This is a fairly new venture for me so I have no clue how to make this work. I suppose I could use Magic Jack, but would I need a router to connect to the Cellular network then hardwire into the controller? Thanks, Chad WI9HF

19 inch rack mount cabinet for sale. 3
Hi everyone, I have a large, unable to be shipped, approximately 7 foot tall open rack with 19 inch rack rails that I'm thinking about selling. Would like something a little bit smaller and enclosed if possible. Wonder if anyone is interested in swapping a smaller one for this large one? It would have to be picked up in Janesville Wisconsin Since it's unable to be shipped. If anyone wants to pick it up for purchase, $70, but I would also be willing to swap even up for a smaller one. This rack even has a built-in power strip for equipment power obviously :-). Chad Nelson WI9HF/WRPL979 Janesville Wisconsin 608-754-8671 Send from my spectrum iPhone 16.

Quantar TFD6512A Preselector Filter 9
Friends, I need to retune the subject preselector and was wondering if there are any procedures someone could share or point me to. I have a HP8320B and a HP8935 to do the work with, but I could not find any procedures in either the Instruction manual or the service manual. Perhaps I overlooked it. Thanks! Jeff KC8VFN

Win10 CDM/HT Out of Band and Region Code Mods 9
Has anyone figured out how to do the out-of-band hex edit and the region code edit for the CDM/HT CPS running on Windows 10? If not, I have, and I've only tested it with my HT-1250 lowband that I've got on 6m. The hex edit addresses for out-of-band programming in Windows 10 are different than the article on Repeater Builder, but the values you change are the same. I've made notes on what the addresses are. I've also got notes on where to find the serialized string for the region code mod. I changed it to the value in the Repeater Builder article. I don't have a radio handy to test this on, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. I don't know if anyone had shared this info in the group or not. If not, I would be more than happy to share my notes if anyone would like to do some further testing and possibly add to the website if all is good. Again, I've only tested this with my lowband HT-1250 on 6m, and everything worked fine; however, this would be at your own risk. 73, Terry KM5UQ

Running a Repeater on a FM Broadcast Tower 21
Hello Group, I'm in the investigation stage of relocating a repeater to a FM broadcast tower site. I've been on several LMR towers and not had any issues but wanted to see if there is any best practices I could learn from on what equipment should be mandatory for being on a FM broadcast tower site. I have listed what I have so far. Any additional equipment please 1. The repeater will be on the UHF spectrum of the ham radio side. 2. It will be running a Kenwood NXR-1800K2 repeater with TXRX duplexers with a 100DB isolation between sides. 3. Height will be between 350 to 400 ft 5. Cable is 1 5/8" hard line that was run but never used and capped off. 4. Antenna will be a commander technologies fiberglass antenna being side mounted on the tower with polyphaser lightening protection attached and grounded. 4a. Jumpers will be 1/2 hardline between the antenna and 1 5/8" and the same going into the building. 5. The radio station broadcast on 93.7 a with a ERP of 37,000 Watts and there antenna is at the 550ft mark. 6. There only two 800Mhz commercial antenna's on the tower and a couple of Wifi provider dishes. I'll be above all of that equipment. Thanks! Steven H. N8RLW

MTR2000 PL Decode question 10
All, I have a MTR2000 here that I have interfaced to a USB-RIM module, I have it working in COS mode but want to run a ctcss code on it. I was curious does anyone know if anything special needs to be set for the ctcss valid pin to go high to tell the RIM that the correct PL/ctcss is valid? I cant get the ctcss lead to go high to tell the RIM that there's a valid ctcss code. When I key up my handheld with the correct ctcss code on it it initially says keyed under the signal status. Ive tried several mixtures of settings. Under Audio I have Analog RX Activation set to PL Under channel info I have decoder set to RX PL of 67.0 I am using the ICS-CTRL MTR2000 Adapter board that goes to a DB9. Its pulling from C2 for PL Detect & B4 for COR. Thanks! --Don

Reality check on capabilities of GRMS repeater 27
I live across a valley from a ski mountain. My house is ~300' above the valley floor on the edge of a steep hill. Top of the ski mountain is ~3000' above the valley floor. Cell phone coverage on the mountain is poor. Using FRS or GRMS simplex to meet up with friends / family works ok but not great. I haven't done extensive testing but I know I can communicate from some areas of the mountain to my house using (2) Radioddity GM-30s. If I had a repeater at my house, I'm hoping I could get better communications on the mountain. Does this seem reasonable? I've started the research journey on this a couple times before becoming overwhelmed with opinions. I'm new to radio but I have experience in other electronics, machine tools, etc. With guidance I'm confident I can execute this project successfully. Snow and wind are certainties at this location. Initial temporary test would be from a balcony powered from an outdoor outlet. Initial test would not self ID. Improvements could include: roof mounted antenna, self ID, outdoor electronics enclosure (to reduce lightning risk to house), hardwire or in use receptacle cover. My understanding is I need: Antenna Hardline. Consensus seems to be on LDF4-50A Duplexer Repeater / radio pair. I don't have access to radio specific tools but multimeter use, soldering, desoldering, wiring, mounting, etc. are within my skill set. Thanks for looking.

Updated Status of T.P.L. Amplifiers by Henry Radio
I had about a 10 minute chat with Bob at Henry Radio Wednesday afternoon. So here is what he had to say: 1. Henry Radio did not negotiate or in any way shape or form purchase T.P.L. Amplifiers. As such, they have no drawings or schematics for T.P.L. Amplifiers. They have no spare parts, boards, or otherwise for T.P.L. products. 2. Henry did purchase the domain registry and old voice phone number to T.P.L. The phone forwards straight to Bob's cell. 3. Henry DOES repair T.P.L. amplifiers. Turn around time is a little longer (a few weeks to a month on average) than on Henry products, because with no schematics, they basically are reverse engineering the circuits in the diagnosis process. They have 2 dedicated 2-way technicians that work on the T.P.L. products, while the other bench technicians work on the Henry line. 4. The old man Henry has retired. Bob is apparently in charge now, and will chat with anyone that has questions. No R.M.A. number is required. Just go to the Henry website and print out a hard copy of their repair form and include it with your T.P.L. amplifier for service. 5.Also, Henry is once again repairing their own name brand 220 MHz amateur amplifiers. They had ceased repairing them about 2 years ago, and refused repair on one of mine that I had purchased from them back then. If you have further questions, reach out to Bob directly during Henry's normal business hours. N5ZUA

MTR-2000 continuation 8
Our group got the MTR-2000's and they power up, so very good sign. However, putting an RSS software on it, the RSS fails to read the MTR.. Tried 2 different cables (FTDI, 2102) Also have a RIB cable to put on it.... (Com ports match) I suspect the RSS software might not be correct. What version to use??? And. do I need a specific OS (WinXP, 7) or what? If anyone has a codeplug to modify, that would be appreciated.... One of them codes out to 100w and 2 meter capable! Peter (I have programmed CDM's, M1225's and 4550's...)
