o.k., is quiet until it is on about a minute then gets a crackle

BTW, the only reason to use the mic jack is if you're updating
the
firmware (or don't want to otherwise with the rear panel DB25).

Which version RSS are you using? Access needs to be set to pl, cor, etc...and it needs to be set as a repeater, not base as mentioned earlier

LDF5 was replaced with AVA5P and as noted, the older connectors are not compatible. The center remains hollow however. ? Matt AL0R ? ? ?

If the RJ mic jack has been shorted there is a 0ohm resistor that acts as a fuse...if it's blown, the program cable won't work..you can always use the DB25

I will weigh in with my resolution, I've always used a 25 pin serial cable the back of the repeater on the 25 pin accessory port and that's always worked fine.
