Has anyone ever successfully interfaced an Icom 2/3/4at to
a RC-100 controller?

From what I can tell, no FC-1 board or similar is needed. I have
both units here, and thought that it would make a nice rainy-day
project.

The schematic of the RC-100 shows the binary coding of its pins.
The only thing else I need is the binary coding of the Icom pin-outs.
In other words, are A1-4 pins on the Icom 1,2,4,8 respectively? Or
maybe inverted? I would assume that B1-4 and C1-4 will follow the
same pattern....

All comments and help will be greatly appreciated.

Also....It seems to me that the MCC RC-100 controller takes care of
the TX offset internally....By that I mean that when the controller goes
into remote base transmit mode, it will change the frequency up or down
itself, instead of needing to activate the duplex circuit in the Icom radio.
Am I seeing this wrong?

Thanks,

Henry,

I have the Technical Service Manuals for the ICOM 2AT and 4AT handhelds. If
there is something I can look up or scan for you just ask. There is information
on the ICOM 2AT already available at
Go to the end of the page and there
is a bunch of scans listed.
These are scans from the ACC FC-1 manual and the TSM I spoke of earlier. They
should help.

I have several RC-100's, and a few RC-1000's but never hooked up an agile
remote. I do have some 2,3,4AT's hooked to the RC-100's and 1000's and the
remote function and audio management works great. I certainly don't see a
problem in hooking the BCD leads up.
