Kevin I want to take a moment and thank you. I am glad that you had the
foresight to start a list that welcomed HTML postings. It is refreshing
that someone is in tune with modern technology.
Modern technology has nothing to do with posting an HTML image. You see,
not all of the
people out there on this or any other reflector are capable of receiving an
HTML image.
For whatever reason, economics maybe? 14.4 connection? When I choose to
post something, I myself would rather leave the choice up to the recipient
to have the option to view it rather than shove it down their throat. Post
a URL. Never tried it I'll bet. The other obvious reason is not to bog down
the reflector with
an HTML or other image that many people may not be able to see or even want
to see.
I guess I am a little more considerate of others than some folks tend to
be.
Dan,

I stand by my statement. Kevin has my thanks. There are many lists dealing with
repeaters that discourage, and in some cases, forbid the posting of HTML or
images. As for this list, HTML is welcome and subscribers can subscribe to the
digest and I believe the images will be removed.

I have never posted an image to this or any of the other remailers. This is not
because I think it inappropriate, but because I have my own web site with about
fifty megabytes on line with more being added as time permits. As a result I do
refer people to the appropriate URL. (
) Unfortunately some people do not
have the ability to post to their own web site. It is for that reason I have
often offered space to post items of interest to subscribers of this and other
list. If my memory serves me correct, Kevin has done the same at
.
