You may have wanted to move the cable side in the vehicle to get a good match. That was what I had to do.

I used a Larsen glass mount on my wife's 2001 Cadillac STS, until we
had to replace the rear glass... Like Roger noted, the new glass must have been of a different "mix", as I could never get a good match with the antenna after replacement.? You'll also have to avoid the defrosted grid if there's one on/in the glass.

Some vehicles have a high metal content in the window tint that
seriously degrades performance.
