Wasn't their slogan "They work everywhere" (referring to the
frequency domain, hence why they're called Spectrum)?
We had a 2 meter Spectrum in the LA area go wildly spurious in the LO
chain. It was hilarious to key up all over the band to see where it was
RXing at any given time.

IMHO that was their only redeeming quality.
