Chad,
the LVP2 is actually a cellphone with an RJ-11 jack for analog
phones.??
?
It's designed to be powered on 7/24
Only downside is if your repeater controller is expecting an open
loop or CPC when the far end hangs up (CPC)?? - this boxes does
not generate CPC or an open loop.??
Buy a used one from eBAY and a pre-paid SIM to test it.

Wow, quite a bit of good ideas here, almost gets overwhelming to
know which one to choose lol. If that one device, the ADA that
Pierre was talking about sounds like that doesn't use the
Internet, but there's no Internet at the site, that would be
another expense. My main concern is if I use The ?cellular to
landline converter, I'd have to use a cell phone and leaving the
charger plugged in 100% of the time for months on end bothers me
if it would explode the battery. Any thoughts about that? My
thought is plug the charger cord into a light timer and have it
timed the charge up for a few hours in the evening and shut off.

Hi, I'm getting an AT&T US cellular to home phone
interface box which probably would work, connect to the
phone via Bluetooth. Someone at Walmart in the electronics
department who was associated with their cell phone service
says I don't want to keep a cell phone plugged in
indefinitely because it could blow up the battery or start a
fire. Because this is going to be at a remote tower site
that I don't really have access to every day.

Many cell phone carriers have a plan to "add" a
line for $10/month if you already have service.? Some
do have phone to cell interface, might have to buy
it.? Just plug the RG11 from your autopatch into the
box and can make phone calls.? Check yur cell service.
