Hi Brady & Group,
I've operated from hotels, office buildings, campsites, balconies, stealth (etc) and most important is the tuner... a wide matching range tuner that will handle random wires or whips.
When you're going to operate from an unknown QTH, it's best to be prepared for all bands and whatever antenna setup will fit the unknown QTH...
With the KX2 you will need to order the built-in tuner.? With the IC705, you will need to purchase the external tuner.?
