I had an assembly language book written by Jeff back when I was teaching assembler. Man, that was decades ago!

You are correct of course. I cross-circuited memories from my old CP/M days. Had a huge pile of Micro Cornucopia and All of the the KayPro Profiles mags. (Anyone know Jeff Duntemann, K7JPD? He was the editor.)
When I left off of programming my KayPro 2X (Darth Vader's lunch box), I was working on CW reader software in C.
Those were great times.
