I'm newbie in NorCal NC40A. My 11 pcs PCB is arrived yesterday from allpcb.com (will be make early Christmas gifts to my local HAM friends in Burgas, Bulgaria).
Have a question: Will be able to use 2n7000 against j309 in mute/switch stage (Q2,Q3) ? I see that transistor is used like switch and I do not understand why is used? high frequency (expensive) jfet transistor ???And this is possible to use 2n7000 to Q5 and Q8 ? I have j310 and will use them to Q5 and Q8 but will be cheap to use 2n7000.
And last: I be able to use other varactor - BB910 against MVAM109 ?
