Random Crashes on 0.42 8
Hi all, I recently upgraded 3 x PC I use here to 0.42. I now see random crashes where the program just closes when idle. It's never done when in use. 1. CachyOS / Arch, built from source (<25 QSO in log) 2. Mint 22 / Ubuntu 24.04 from PPA (85K QSO) 3. Windows 10 from Installer (25K QSO) So nothing common at all between the 3. Just that I will go to that machine and it will be closed. I have never had a single instance of this pre 0.42. Anyone else? 73 Phill C21TS / FK1TS

New QSOs not being displayed as expected 3
This afternoon I decided to mess with QLog and WSJT-X to get the latter to talk to the former, which it does. (Hooray!) I also added the PPA to my Mint 22 installation and upgraded to QLog 0.42.0. the previous 0.41.1 installation being built from the tarball. (By the way QLog is the best Linux logging app. Thanks, foldyn! Outstanding work!) When I make a new contact in WSJT-X (v2.71-devel 250206 _TCI 074 Improved PLUS in case that matters), update the Duration in QLog to the current time then click Save the QSO list at the upper left isn't updated as expected, it still only shows several old manually entered SSB contacts. However, when I click View/WSJT-X my recent FT8 contacts appear at the upper right above the map. I was expecting the list of displayed QSOs to all appear in one place, in the list on the upper left, and it be updated as new FT8/FT4 contacts are made. I must be not understanding how QLog works? -- 73 de Jay, DV7GDL

Log in onedrive? 7
Good afternoon. I have a question regarding the Log, I would like to use two PCs in two locations and share the log in a cloud like as ONEDRIVE, DROPBOX or similar, but I cannot find how to change the log directory. Would it be possible? Has anyone tried? All the best. 73 EC1A, Ger

ADIF Monitor Function 2
Hi I wonder if there is a way to automatically scan a user selectable ADI file for changes and automatically import/ Insert those changes into Qlog as they happen? This scenario could be handy, for example, when running a club type logger like SKCC logger in the foreground with Qlog in the background. The SKCC logger tracks club awards for contacts made and saves the contact in a text-based log like "mylog.adi". SKCC logger is a very simplistic logger but streamlines the award application process for SKCC members. Qlog could "listen" for changes to the file, located at C:\SKCC\mylog.adi for example, and would insert each completed QSO into Qlog. All QSO information would be transferred including date, time call-sign frequency, mode etc... I'm not sure if this is similar to the WJSTX setup currently available or if it is a different process. #QLOG V Log4OM #QLOG
So over the last few weeks I migrated from Log4OM to QLOG... Despite having a high performance desktop pc, I always found that log4om was lagging, for several reasons I changed to QLOG. For me QLOG has some additional features that log4om hasn't: Dark mode, as per below it is quite easy to change from normal light mode to a darker screen, it is just a toggle at the bottom right of the screen. Latency when changing bands, and vfo, always found log4om a bit sluggish when using omnirig and log4om would stall from time to time. Editing a qso, would take ages on log4om, my database is not big, less than 15,000 qsos, but this I found a nuisance. Integrated ON4KST chat, I can monitor the 8M chat from within QLOG as seen below. Just the general upload and download to lotw, qrz and clublog is much better, quicker and seamless. Also on the bottom left, I can hover over the Solar data and get the full preview of information. Migration from the log4om adif was simple enough. Also the software recognises the 8M band. Also has a FT8 decoder And you can add/remove the widgets, to build the screen as per your requirements. Note, It has a contest section, which I have not used. Anyway just a few thoughts and happy to using QLOG as opposed to Log4om for the moment, but for me overall the speed of logging and use of the application is bonus. POTA Update? 2
I was trying to work someone activating a park in China the other day and noticed that the park wasn't in the database (CN-0708). For China listings it didn't have anything after CN-06##. This looks like a new park. There are a few new parks showing up in the CN-07## range on the POTA site. I hope the update makes it into QLog. de JP3REM

Split mode bug? 3
Hi, If the rig is set to split mode and I start transmiting, the Callsign field in the new QSO window clears and entered call sign disappears, so I have to enter the callsign again after each transmission. This is a bit of a pain and IMHO shouldn't work that way in split mode. Just in case: FT-710 OS Ubuntu 24.04 QLog 0.41.0 -- ___ Slav, EI6KW, SP3RXO https://www.hamqth.com/ei6kw

WWFF Update 2
G'day As others have noticed, the download for WWFF updates are slow... even with a fast connection. I wonder if this and other list updates can be moved to a background update after QLOG opens? This would allow the program to start normally without a lengthy delay, giving the OP the opportunity to log that "rare" one quickly. 73 Adam, VK4IM

24 hour clock? 8
Hello, Running Ubuntu mate, current version. Installed Qlog via flat pack and all is well except the clock is stuck in 12 hour am/pm mode. I've searched through the wiki and here, but don't find any advice. I have set my system time to 24 hour format, and my desktop clock indicates in 24-hour format. (In recent versions of the mate desktop, you cannot set it one way or the other, it mirrors the system setting.). Q log still shows an AM/PM clock. I haven't found a setting anywhere. Is there a flag on launch that can switch it to 24-hour? DE, KB9RLW.

New User QSO Upload Question - RESOLVED 2
Thanks to both Ladislav and Diego for where to look. I did have a grid square mismatch between WSJT-X (4 character square in the settings) and QLog (6 character square in the station profile setup). When I edited the QSO from WSJT-X and changed the My Station Grid Square to the 6 character square to match the station setup in QLog, I was able to see the QSO in the upload queue. So, lesson learned, make sure qrid squares match exactly. Thanks again and 73, Tim KK9T

New User QSO Upload Question 4
Hi, new user, just set the program up yesterday. It looks great and I am impressed with the work that went into it. I do have a problem with doing QSO uploads and I am sure it is something simple. I loaded the log for my current callsign and was able to use the Service menu to upload to various services so all the user names and passwords work. TQSL is installed and configured. I configured WSJTX and made a couple of contacts and I see that they made their way into my logbook successfully. However, when I try to use any of the services to upload those QSOs, they will not show up in the Show Selection for LOTW for example (or any of the services). There is nothing to upload even though the QSO's QSL information shows them as queued. I entered a couple of dummy qsos manually and those do show up in the Show Selection for LOTW when I look to see what is about to be uploaded. I'm sure there is something simple I am missing here. When I open each of the QSOs, both fake ones i entered manually and real FT8 QSos, I can see no difference in the QSL tab, they all show queued. Thoughts on where to look to figure this out? Thanks, Tim KK9T

Filter most recent contacts on Log 3
Is it possible to create a filter to show just the last X amount of contacts? If I worked that station like 4 years ago I would like to show that when I first enter the call (the normal behavior), but on the Log been shown/preview when I have no callsign pending to "log it" (like Im in stand-by with no contact going on), I would like to filter either by amount of contacts, Or maybe amount of days behind today (say like in the last 90 days). I setup one filter right now anything greater than Nov 1 2024, but then I will have to go and keep updating that as time moves on... Is there a way to set the filter either of those ways? Thanks Joel/WE0DX

New Issue 2
Since the update to 0.41.0 I'm having a strange issue. Nothing was changed other than the update and now my FTDX10 does not change band and frequency correctly. When clicking on a spot and going from 40/80m LSB to 10-20m USB, the frequency changes correctly (at first) but the mode does not change correctly. The third double-click causes the mode to change correctly but the frequency Is NOW offset by the USB/LSB difference. Then the third double-click puts the frequency right. It does this in both directions. Can anyone point me in a direction of assistance? Linux Mint 21.3 QLog 0.41.0 w/ hamLib 4.6 -- V/R, Michael G. Mcguire, K3SNO 484-703-9591 So Mote It Be
