Re: Multiple callsings
开云体育I would build out different station profiles () for each callsign or activity. ?Then you can easily switch between them. ?For LoTW is a little different you may need to filter based on callsign or something else to upload them correctly. ?I typically just make sure to upload to LoTW real quick before I switch profiles, then I can choose the appropriate location defined in TQSL. Re: Settings won't save passwords
Hello Roy, It is good and bad news. The good news is that it is working after installing Flatpak. The bad news is that I cannot understand when the problem can be. Both packaged DEB and Flatpak use the same password service.? I tested several settings in the distribution you mentioned - I have installed it in a virtual machine. And I did not notice the behavior you described. po 26. 5. 2025 v?19:43 odesílatel Roy Jackson via <kw4g10=[email protected]> napsal:

Multiple callsings
I have multiple calls (effective, competition, special and old).
?
In other logs I separated them by database, in Qlog, what is the appropriate way to separate them?
?
I am changing them through the fields [Logging Station Callsing] and [My Gridsquare].
?
Is this correct? Will I be able to manage LOTW (I haven't used it in Qlog yet)? |
Re: Settings won't save passwords
开云体育Thanks for your response. The "Password and Keys" app was installed and I was able to run it. That didn't seem to make any difference. I removed the DEB package, installed Flatpak and the Flatpak QLog package. Everything seems to be working properly now. 73Roy KW4G On 5/26/25 8:11 AM, ok1mlg via

Re: Settings won't save passwords
I tested the same distribution as you and didn't notice any issue with password settings. Check if you have the "Password and Keys" application and can run it. QLog uses the external service to store passwords under Ubuntu. It is possible that you have it blocked or not working somehow. Re: Settings won't save passwords
I’m not very familiar with Linux but is a message chain and it talks a little bit about password storage requirements on the different versions of Linux. Or wiki here: Supported Secure Password Storage

Settings won't save passwords
I have been using QLog for a while. I just installed a fresh copy of Ubuntu Cinnamon 24.04.2 and QLog on my computer. When I go through the setup process and add, say Clublog, with the password and click on save the process seems to hang up. If I close out of it the password is not saved. This happens for all of the services that I enter a password for. I seem to recall seeing this problem mentioned before. I have looked through the messages on the board and can't seem to find it. Sorry for the repeat, but I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

entering qso manually : time, qrg etc....
Hello
I try to enter new qso at the end of the day.
Impossible to set correct "Time On" , remains current time, same for date as well, impossible to modify it.
Impossible to set Rx AND Tx frequency : for example RX 7.133 MHz reverts to 0000 MHz when entering RX freq.
Any idea ?

Re: Incorrect characters encoding showed
Hi, There is a simple answer to this. ADI format supports only ASCII characters. If some software exports UTF8 characters in ADI fields, it is doing it wrong - see ADIF specification. The only one where UTF-8 characters are allowed is ADX format and only in selected fields marked _INTL. QLog converts non-ASCII characters in non-INTL fields when importing - it is a QLog's feature - It is not an issue of QLog but? an issue of software that ADI with UTF-8 characters generates. pá 2. 5. 2025 v?12:44 odesílatel Víctor J. Incorrect characters encoding showed
Hi all,
?
I'm trying to import an ADIF file from another log application into QLog 0.43.1 (Linux). The file exported previously is generated in UTF8 so I can read tilded words fine. When I imported into QLog wrong tilded characters are showed at last in NAME and QTH fields (I'll try in other fields like COMMENT or COMMENT_INTL). I've looked into SQLite database and tilded characters are swaped by its non-tilded equivalent despite I think the SQLite database is in UTF8 encoding.
?
Thanks. |
Re: Removing Dupes
There is a program called adif_merge that will do this for you nicely.
?
1. Export all of your contacts from QLog.
2. Collect all or any other ADI files that you want to include
3. Run adif_merge on all of these ADI files
4. Starting with an empty logbook in QLog, if you want (delete your entries with all those dupes), import the result file into QLog
?
This works, of course, for any logging program and not just QLog.
