I tested the same distribution as you and didn't notice any issue with password settings. Check if you have the "Password and Keys" application and can run it. QLog uses the external service to store passwords under Ubuntu. It is possible that you have it blocked or not working somehow.

I have been using QLog for a while. I just installed a
fresh copy of Ubuntu Cinnamon 24.04.2 and QLog on my
computer. When I go through the setup process and add, say
Clublog, with the password and click on save the process
seems to hang up. If I close out of it the password is not
saved. This happens for all of the services that I enter a
password for. I seem to recall seeing this problem mentioned
before. I have looked through the messages on the board and
can't seem to find it. Sorry for the repeat, but I would
