Welshpool loco from Dorset Kits
Here are some photos of Paul H's superb model of The Countess and carriages built from Dorset Kits kits - and in the correct 17.5mm gauge. As is Paul's style it has sound and smoke.
Thanks John for adding these here. The Countess has been built from the lovely Dorset Kits model. All nickel silver (except brass nameplates) the kit is renowned as one of the best. It has been assembled much as intended and the parts fitted like a dream. The smokebox has been adapted to include a smoke generator from Seuthe and she has Zimo sound and a sugar cube speaker with stay alive supercapacitor. Built to the correct 17.5mm gauge and coupled on the model shelf with the Dorset Kits Welshpool carriages I am very pleased with the result. Just need the railway to run them on now, which is still a kit of parts with no baseboards. However the track is all built with correct FB rail spiked to ply sleepers. Not Welshpool though but the L&M terminus at Hulme End. The Welshpool stock will be visiting for running in trials in my re-write of history.?
