Exhibitions

Folks,
Don’t know haw many of you do Facebook?
I have created an Exhibition group

The idea is to have somewhere to advertise exhibitions worldwide by way of displaying / uploading posters.
Regards.

Kevin,

Isn't this unnecessary duplication of the very good service provided by ukmodeldirectory? Exhibition managers have at least 3 magazines to notify, UKMD, and we'd hope the 7mm exhibition list for Narrow News.

Hi Frank,
Whilst I use UKMD almost exclusively we can't ignore the fact that it's old school (email and? the website non reactive so doesn't work well on mobiles) and large swathes of the population use social media for everything. Perhaps Kevin you could collaborate with Adrian Hall?

John and all,
Am aware of UK Model Shops site. as secretary of EXE Model Railway Society our show is listed there, along with many others.
Just thought it was something that wouldn’t go amiss on Facebook.

One advantage of having a Facebook group dedicated to exhibitions, is that those who attend can post videos of those events and you end up with a record spread over a number of the exhibitions over the years.

When exhibitions are being attended in declining numbers, it doesn’t hurt to spread the word through new and different means. Particularly when attracting the next generation.

There are those who use Facepest who may never think about using other platforms, online forums, or the ukmodelshop website. Have to admit that I never think of looking on the latter.
