7MM NNG 16 build

Keith Stamper

Hello Fellows,
I have been working on building my BWM NNG 16 kit and have added a few more photos to my album. I have made up the cab roof to more closely resemble the drawings and also done a lot more work on the main assemblies.
I will soon begin the task of adding various pipes and details. However my intention is to build all these components as subassemblies so that I can paint the loco before final attachment.
As of now, I am waiting one more major set of parts and this is the valve motion that was offered by EDM. Once these parts arrive, I will build the running gear up and test run the model. The loco be using a battery system as I do on all my other locos on my On3 layout and will install it and the radio receiver also before painting and then remove it all once I am happy with the locomotives performance.
My long term plans are for a portable layout that I can take out to local shows.?
Regards,
Keith Stamper

I'll watch this with great interest having had a good look at one recently. Are you building in preserved condition or original working condition as in South Africa? Although having seen? no 138 it was surprisingly scruffy and worn in places which is perhaps not surprising given how hard they need to work.
