Back to back gauge

I am in the process of getting a back to back gauge produced for me by Model Railway Parts. I have been after one for a while, I am aware of what is on the market but they are not quite what I am after.

The gauge will be similar to the standard gauge one they offer at present

The back to back will be 12.4mm.

At present I do not have a cost for the item, as with all things the more I order the cheaper it will be, so I am looking to see what the interest in such an item would be.

I have ordered 5 to start with but if more people are interested I can get a price on what an increased order would be.

If you are interested let me know.

I know several people have made excellent ones, but I do not have the skills or equipment to do so.

Kind regards

James Hockley

Hi. You can put me down for one.,,,,thanks

OK,

So far I am up to 11 units, with the requests here and from the a Narrow Gauge online forum.

I will get a price and come back to you all with it, so you can make a final decision if you want one.

I am now up to 15 in total.

I have had chat with Malcolm from Model Railway Parts, at these kind of numbers the gauge will come out around ?9.

Obviously a little more than his O gauge item, but he makes many more of those.

If the numbers go up the price will come down.

I will handle distribution of these in the first instant, expect postage to about 80p as they should go in a large envelope, over seas will be at cost.

Is every one OK with that price?

Lead time will about 4-5 weeks.?

No problem Geoff,

You do that or pay using paypal and I will post to OZ, either way I am happy.

The good news is I am up to about 20 units now, which could help with the price.

I wonder if the 7mm narrow gauge society would want some for their store, could help with the numbers?

Any one a member and able to ask for me?

The interest in this is looking good, thank you guys.

There is no great rush, Malcolm won't be making them for about 4 weeks, I have a list going of who wants what, if the numbers go up any price reduction will be passed on.

I am not intending to make money out of this, just cover the costs.

I will not ask for any payment until they arrive.

Closer to the time I will email a list of who wants what, to ensure no one has been missed.

I hope this is proper use of the Yahoo group.

James Hockley?

Hi James,

Please put me down for one as well, I live in Australia, but I can send you a Barclays Bank Cheque and give you an address in the Black country to send it to.

Cheers

Geoff

I am now up to 15 in total.

I have had chat with Malcolm from Model Railway Parts, at these kind of numbers the gauge will come out around ?9.

Obviously a little more than his O gauge item, but he makes many more of those.

If the numbers go up the price will come down.

I will handle distribution of these in the first instant, expect postage to about 80p as they should go in a large envelope, over seas will be at cost.

Is every one OK with that price?

Lead time will about 4-5 weeks.
