Hi Geoff I have BullAnt chassis in quite a few of my locos, from the big Bo-Bo Vale of Ffestiniog, the 2-6-2T Russell, the 4w Moel y Gest as well as a slate wagon (for the gravity train) and an 'A' Class wagon (for no sensible reason).? All run superbly - my preference is for a primary belt drive which means the locos are smooth and almost silent. I can't recommend these chassis too highly. For more details of the locos see Cheers David From: "'Bruce Wood' bruce.wood@... [O14]" To: O14@... Sent: Tuesday, 18 August 2015, 5:03 Subject: Re: [O14] O14 locomotives

Hi Geoff,
?
When you place your order, just make sure that Geoff is fully aware that it
is for 14 mm gauge. (I get the impression that he don’t have too many orders in
the gauge!)

Best regards
Bruce

Hi Bruce,
That's great news that he will set them to
gauge for us, thanks for the heads up and the running quality
report.
Cheers
Geoff

Hi Geoff,
?
My memory is that Hollywood’s web site on-line ordering does not have
provision for 14 mm gauge, nevertheless, I informed Geoff what I wanted and he
was able to build my BullAnts. I have just run the callipers over the wheel
sets, and the back-to-back is 12.2 mm , which is the same measurement as the KB
Scale mine skips I use.
?
The BullAnt wheel sets (I think they may be Nickel Silver?) the electrical
pick-up is good, and they operate beautifully!

Hi
Bruce,
Are you using the TT (14.2mm)
gauge Bull Ants from Hollywood foundry?? How have you found they run on
O14?
Cheers

Hi David,
?
My Ruston’s are the KB Scale models (and I think they are fantastic
models!)
?
In search for more power and better running performance, I have replaced
the mechanisms on a couple from an Australian mechanism specialist company –
Hollywood Foundry. The “trade-off” has been that I have had to forego a lot of
the cab’s interior detail, however when the driver sits on the motor, most
observers would not be aware of the loss of the cab interior detail.
