Re: O14 locomotives

Hi Geoff,
?
My memory is that Hollywood’s web site on-line ordering does not have provision for 14 mm gauge, nevertheless, I informed Geoff what I wanted and he was able to build my BullAnts. I have just run the callipers over the wheel sets, and the back-to-back is 12.2 mm , which is the same measurement as the KB Scale mine skips I use.
?
The BullAnt wheel sets (I think they may be Nickel Silver?) the electrical pick-up is good, and they operate beautifully!

Cheers

Hi Bruce,

Are you using the TT (14.2mm) gauge Bull Ants from Hollywood foundry?? How have you found they run on O14?

Cheers

Geoff

Hi David,
?
My Ruston’s are the KB Scale models (and I think they are fantastic models!)
?
In search for more power and better running performance, I have replaced the mechanisms on a couple from an Australian mechanism specialist company – Hollywood Foundry. The “trade-off” has been that I have had to forego a lot of the cab’s interior detail, however when the driver sits on the motor, most observers would not be aware of the loss of the cab interior detail.

Are these Rustons built from the KB scale kits?
