I personally find with sharp curves etc, code 70 starts to become “flimsy” when you are holding it into position for spiking the rail. Also with small loco wheels, small wheelbases, and not many loco wheels - 0-4-0’s etc, every bit of wheel to rail contact for the electrics is important.
