Just curious as to how many are using ME rail code 55, code 70, code 83 and code 100 for O14.

开云体育I'm using principally Code 82 from Karlgarin. With John Clutterbuck's help about 90% of my Chelfham now comprises it (the remaining 10% being bare board - another job to catch up with!). David H To: O14@... From: O14@... Date: Tue, 4 Aug 2015 15:25:15 -0400 Subject: [O14] Rail for O14 ?

开云体育Hi Bruce,
?
I use both ME code 70 and 83.
?
With considering the track-building, my preference is for code 83. I
personally find with sharp curves etc, code 70 starts to become “flimsy” when
you are holding it into position for spiking the rail. Also with small loco
wheels, small wheelbases, and not many loco wheels - 0-4-0’s etc, every bit of
wheel to rail contact for the electrics is important. Code 70 rail still looks
the part for a very light railway!

开云体育I don’t model O14, I model O28 (7mm scale, 4ft gauge) fairly distantly
related to the locomotives and coal trams of the Saundersfoot Coal and Harbour
Co.
?
I’ve used code 70 rail from C+L to make 90% of my track but C+L no longer
stock it.
?
I’ve never previously heard of ME but it seems they have code 70 rail.
Would someone kindly give me a link to ME?
?
Trevor.
