Hi - update ... got it to work ... my mistake was that I tried to connect / disconnect while still being in Channel 0 ... switched to channel 1 and was able to connect to N0HI-7 right away.... Nice!!

Tom, What are your tnc lights indicating? Any TX there? Is there audio going out to your data input to the transmitter? What transceiver are you using?

Putty is good, but try cool term. I use it for VHF and HF easy to set up. Have fun.

Easyterm's "Alert the Sysop"
Hi all, Does anyone know how the "Alert the Sysop" function in UZ7HO's Easyterm works? ? It doesn't send an audio alert to the default system soundcard and it doesn't bring up a text alert.? Thanks,

Yes 10.147.30 USB is used for RP APRS, and above that a little is HFP aprs as mentioned in last email. We used to hang out from time to time around 10.144 LSB for general use ie, keybd/BBS. 73/warren

I use 10.147.6 dial frequency USB, centred on 1700 Hz, on Thursdays to check into the APRSThursday net using PinPoint and Soundmodem. You can also use this configuration for sending an APRS position

I haven't actively monitored on 30m in a hot minute, but I know my club maintains an igate on 10.1473 USB.
