Re: your switchable end fed transformer
https://x-tenna.com/shop Just received it, no on-air results yet, but the build quality seems excellent. Hint: If you want to add more/different counterpoises or radiators without soldering you will

Re: MODIFIED END FED 155 FT AND 9 TO 1 UNUN
Preferably look at the Smith. The phase jump is only a graphical effect of the fact that the phase passes beyond 180¡ã then below. On the Smith the curve will be continuous. -- F1AMM Fran?ois

Re: MODIFIED END FED 155 FT AND 9 TO 1 UNUN
It¡¯s like something make a second resonant point but not a real resonant point as other graphs don¡¯t show it. Did you try to make the same mesurement without the tuner ?

Did you build, or purchase? if the latter, where did you get it? Thanks for the information.

Re: nanoVNA-H (clone?) USB unrecognized
Hello Dennis & Tim! Thanks for the reply and ideeas. From what you said, it seems that I have no other solutions but to try several versions of firmware swapped with various USB-C <> USB-A cables

Re: Nano VNA graphs of MYANTENNA end fed with 140 ft #12 wire
In my modeling of an EF wire, be they 1/2-wavelength or not, a 9:1 is far more in order than a 49:1 or even higher ratios. Reason is for any "reasonable" and amateur typical heights above soil

Re: Nano VNA graphs of MYANTENNA end fed with 140 ft #12 wire
If one had a lossless transformer for an End Fed Halfwave EFHW one would expect low SWR on the harmonic multiples of the fundamental frequency, such as 80 40 20 and 10 meters. I attribute the low SWR

Re: Latest recommended H4
I would suggest looking into the SAA-2N, I got mine from R&L. The type N connectors, cables and calibration standards appear robust and work well. The steel case is a plus. 73, Don N2VGU

Re: Nano VNA graphs of MYANTENNA end fed with 140 ft #12 wire
I have an end-fed antenna with switch-selectable 49, 56 and 64:1 ratios. It's covered with heat shrink so I haven't looked inside. Checks out OK with VNA. 73, Don N2VGU

Re: Nano VNA graphs of MYANTENNA end fed with 140 ft #12 wire
Ok, it is the testing insertion of the *two boxes end to end*. This doesn't tell us anything about the functioning of any *one* of the boxes. Even if it's Uncle Sam who does the measuring -- F1AMM

Re: Nano VNA graphs of MYANTENNA end fed with 140 ft #12 wire
Jim, The 56:1 can be seen at the Myantennas website. https://myantennas.com/wp/product/efhw-8010/ They have a similar transformer with the 49:1 and state it can be in the horizontal L config. On the

Re: Nano VNA graphs of MYANTENNA end fed with 140 ft #12 wire
I consider a 56/1 wideband transformer to be a utopia (I could be wrong). The fact of presenting measurements by joining two transformers head to tail does not assume anything about the operation of a

AURSINC was recommended from Groups.IO at Amazon. I got a NanoVNA-H from them. I had a problem, they replaced no questions asked. I like what I have and can recommend.
