Yes, the android app sort-of doesn't need internet access, but it does because it was built using google tools and has google metrics crap in it. I use noroot firewall by greyshirts on my android devices (pipes all net access through the device's VPN API for filtering).?
If i allow the nano app network access, it starts immediately but if i don't allow access, the net portion of the call has to time out, then the app starts.?
Now, as for OTG access, install the Aida64 app and after you connect the nano to the tablet, see if Aida64 sees it under the Devices tab. You should see the nano's uid.pid in the list.?
I've attached what it should look like. It it does not appear, something else is going on. BTW, does the tablet use micro usb2 or usbc?
