I commend you to Chapter 10 of Milligan (attached) for all the reasons he
decided to define the Yagi as a traveling wave device.
I don't think the topic was stuck in this chapter because they ran out of
room.

I also attach the 1928 paper from Proc IRE Vol 16 No 6 1928 should you run
out of bedtime reading. You may note the word "resonant" is used once, and
not in a situation related to the antenna (spoiler - page 736).

Others on the channel may not have seen this seminal paper, and I trust
they will tick another box towards their RAP (Read All Papers) Award.

But hey, welcome to your opinion. At the moment, it's a free country.
