Hmmm...
You do have the MS firmware, correct? You can switch modes under
Config:Expert Settings if you loaded the wrong one.

G'day Stan,
Thanks for your prompt reply.
HW version 4.3_MS
Made by ZeenKo in China
I have undone, the 4 screws holding the 2 parts to try booting with the
boot pins shorted. Didn't make any difference. I think I checked booting
with the cover loose but I will double check.
I have to go visiting now, will check replies when get home.
Thank you for your thoughts Stan.

This sounds more to me like what happens when the screen is getting
pressure from the case, causing display problems. Have you tried to
remove
the top of the case to see if it works normally?
I have never had such a problem from my "blue LED" H4. Which hardware
version is yours? (from the label on the back)

I have a nanoVNA H4. When I first got it, it appeared to work OK Then
the
screen froze. We updated to Dislord ...39, and it was working again -
for a
while. Now the screen flashes on switch on and then goes blank - except
for
"Pa" on the left side of the screen and across the bottom of the
screen
"CENTRE 450.825 000 MHz" gap "bw1000Hz 401p" gap "SPAN 899.950 000
MHz" Note " delineates what is written".
When it is switched on. the blue LED flashes and the screen flashes then
the text appears down the left hand side and across the bottom.
I have re-flashed the firmware without any result.
I note that sometimes there is reported to be 2 RED LED's and sometimes
there is one RED and one BLUE on different batches of the H4. I have the
impression that only the blue led machines are having trouble.
What is the opinion of this observation ?
