Did you install DFUSe demo? It installs the driver. If you are getting a flag then you can manually update the driver by right clicking and then pointing to the DFUse directory where the driver is located. The location is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\STMicroelectronics\Software\DfuSe v3.0.6\Bin\Driver

The issue , is simple , i reset on the software VNAsaver . 40 version for
this example . i set up the freq range ,1.mhz to 4 mhz

I start the calibration assistant, all is well. . i hit save , i set up cont
sweep , i get swr all over the place, 1.1, 5.5 etc
with the 50 ohm connected, i take off the 50 ohm the same thing all over the
place . .
Before you start updating the firmware you should check that you can calibrate the NanoVNA in standalone mode without a PC connection. Remember to Reset first. The do the SOL calibration and check for proper operation with each cal load. on the Smith chart you should get a dot on the far left for a short, center for 50 ohms and far right for open. My screenshots shown below.
