Re: Quisk with Rasbian
I know it's an old thread, but I wished to note that: sudo apt-get install libfftw3-dev libasound2-dev portaudio19-dev libpulse-dev python3-dev libpython3-dev python3-wxgtk4.0 python3-usb python3-
Re: An audio start-up hitch in 4.1.77 running on a Pi 400
I'll have to apologize -- never looked at Quisk before.? Quisk is acting as rigctld trying to emulate rigctld and not keeping up with hamlib changes. I've now added Quisk as a rig (model #10) ? ?

Re: An audio start-up hitch in 4.1.77 running on a Pi 400
The "rig" is Quisk, which is the software part of an SDR.?The instance of Quisk is currently configured to communicate via ip port 4532 and/or a CAT virtual serial port such as "/tmp/QuiskTTY0". The

Re: An audio start-up hitch in 4.1.77 running on a Pi 400
So something like rigctld -m 3073 -r /dev/ttyUSB0 -s 115200 -vvvvv -Z Then you run rigctl as you did before to cause rigctld to show the debug info with the rig involved. Mike W9MDB

Re: An audio start-up hitch in 4.1.77 running on a Pi 400
No -- you? don't use "-m 2" -- that would be rigctld trying to connect to itself. You should have switches for YOUR rig in rigctld.?? Mike W9MDB

Re: An audio start-up hitch in 4.1.77 running on a Pi 400
Like this? Notes: (1) whereas rigctl did finally end up setting quisk's frequency, this with rigctld did not. (2) For this test and the previous one with rgctl, the quisk version has been back to

Mike, Now I am out of my depth. What can I do to get what you need from rigctld? bruce ag5gt

Now I need to see the rigctld side too. It's getting timeouts which should show why on the rigctld side. Mike W9MDB

Re: An audio start-up hitch in 4.1.77 running on a Pi 400
Mike, Here it is with time-stamps. WRT versions, though I don't trust my memory, I believe the old reliable Linux Mint 19.2 installation used hamlib 3.0 ! So, 4.0 was an upgrade when I moved

Re: An audio start-up hitch in 4.1.77 running on a Pi 400
Jim, With respect to the "ON" button behavior, I just this morning did an experiment that unexpectedly caused its behavior to change. While researching my hamlib rigctl problem, I re-installed 4.1.77

Re: An audio start-up hitch in 4.1.77 running on a Pi 400
I would also recommend upgrading to latest Hamlib.... 4.0 is a bit long-in-the-tooth. https://n0nb.users.sourceforge.net/ Mike W9MDB

Add a "-Z" to the rigctl line to get detailed timing. Mike W9MDB

Re: An audio start-up hitch in 4.1.77 running on a Pi 400
Mike, I am unfamiliar with typescript, so ran an example command in a terminal and manually captured text. This is a change frequency command that runs much slower on the rpi p400 than it did in linux
