Hi all, When I went to zoom out on the Weather app, I noticed an otherwise well-known body of water labeled as Gulf of America. <rant>Why, oh why, is Apple (or its app maker) going along with this silly publicity stunt? It brings back the memories of the idiocy of Freedom Fries.</rant> Bill

What I am about to report to you happened once before. Yesterday my wife and I were driving east on the Watterson XWay about 1:50 p.m. We had WAZE running on her phone and connected to Apple Car Play. Around Taylorsville Rd. WAZE no longer knew where we were - it kept thinking we were off the highway and kept trying to route us back on. I had cruise control on. When cruise control is engaged and you go from one speed zone to a lesser speed zone the car automatically slows down. When WAZE thought we were off the highway the car began breaking. I turned off the cruise control to keep the car from breaking. Once we got off the highway I pulled over and used the car’s navigation system and the same thing occurred - it didn’t recognize where we were. I tried WAZE on my phone - same result. I figure there must be something wrong with the GPS Satellite. Is there any way to check if a satellite is malfunctioning? I mean if my phone, my wife’s phone, and the car’s navigation system are acting as if they don’t know where they are then it’s got to be the satellite, RIGHT???? Your thought will be appreciated. Hi Everyone, I’m hoping one of you can point me in the right direction to solve this problem. I see HP charges for customer service calls beyond the warranty and I’d like to avoid that, if possible. Since updating to the latest IOS on my iPad and iPhone , I’m no longer able to print. I’m using an HP Envy 4512. From the printer, I see it’s on the network, but when I try to print I’m told “printer not found.” I have unplugged the modem, the router, and the printer, waited 10 minutes before plugging them back in. No luck. I’m on Spectrum for internet. I’ve, also, done some google research and don’t see that anyone else has had the same problem. Thanks, in advance, for any help you might give me. Hi was having trouble with my TiVo. I couldn’t watch live TV or get to my programs list. I turned off the TiVo and after it restarted, the same problem. I changed batteries in the remote - didn’t work. I switched the HDMI cable from one input to another - no change. Finally I replaced the HDMI cable and voilá everything worked. My question to the group - how does an HDMI cable go bad? One day everything works and the next day it doesn’t.

There may be no easy way to solve my issue, but I’ll throw it out there. Been using Apple’s Mail for ever and ever. Over the years, I have created ‘folders’ to move email into and save for whatever reason. Now I have folders full of different out-dated receipts, dead web links, and more useless info than a junk drawer in my kitchen. I guess I just have to take a folder a day and click through each email and save or toss. Anyone one have a magic spell or a technique to help clean these up? Thanks Bill M.

In the latest Apple Watch OS the nerds at Apple have decided something was missing in the Timers App. They have included 13 preset timers (AKA Pinned Timers) that cannot be removed. And those Pinned timers appear at the top of any timers I have set up on my own so if I want to use one of my timers I have to scroll all the way past Apples Pinned Timers to get to the timers I set up to use with my workouts. So I have gone to “apple.com/feedbac <http://apple.com/feedbac>” and registered my complaint with Apple, though, unless a gazillion Apple Watch Users make the same complaint, Apple probably won’t fix the issue. What pain in the patootie Apple!

So I have a Christmas mystery maybe someone in the group can solve. I used my iPhone to take family photos on Christmas. The first few were taken using the timer function on my Apple Watch with the phone on a tripod so I could be in the pictures too. The rest were taken as normal with the phone. All the photos appear on my phone, but I wanted to see them on a larger screen so was using my iPad and noticed the pictures using the timer function are missing on my iPad. I figured that was just a synching issue there, so I went into my iCloud account using the browser on my desktop computer and they aren't there either. They only appear on my phone. All the other photos I took before and after those are there. Thought it was odd that only the photos using the timer function are missing. Anyone have any idea why? Thanks!
