Question of pictures in iPhoto albums
I have used Apple’s photo apps since the beginning of forever. Now, I have a long list of albums listed under the heading ‘iPhoto Events’.
Some of these only have 1 to 4 pictures, and others have more. As I understand Apple’s photo file storage, If I delete all these albums, I’m really not deleting the photos themselves, I’m deleting the place mark for that photo. I guess I could experiment with some of them, but I thought I’d ask the group to get your advice. Thanks in advance! Bill M. e |
开云体育Bill, I don’t know if this is what you are asking? No, when you delete photos from a Mac using iCloud Photos, the photo place marker is not left in iCloud; John On Feb 18, 2025, at 6:34?PM, William Micou via groups.io <derbywiz@...> wrote:

开云体育I think he’s talking about deleting an album. Deleting an album doesn’t delete the photos in the album, because the albums are just like-tagged photos. Deleting the album essentially removes the tag with the name of the album from the photos.? Try making an album with a duplicate photo. Then delete the album. See what happens to the photo.? 开云体育Yes, the Albums. I can see I have picture ‘A’ in my library, but also in an iPhoto Events album named ‘Christmas 2001’.I think iPhoto used to make albums of photos based on events or dates. I’ll try your idea and see what happens. Thanks!
