Dropbox files on M1 Macs
I think there is an issue with files saved on Dropbox and my M1 iMac. Many of the files I have created I am unable to open on my iMac but I can open them on my older MacBook Air. Here is an example:

Re: MacBook Air fan
Maybe, but I think the Mac OS has been getting better all the time. Another thing is that I haven¡¯t had runaway fans in my M1 Mini that I use on my desktop now. It might have had something to do

Re: MacBook Air fan
Or, you could just google ¡°runaway fan Mac OS.¡± There are probably no end to the articles about it. I didn¡¯t need to look it up because I used to do this all the time. ::-( I haven¡¯t had to do

Re: MacBook Air fan
Ancient Software - I was using Sandvox and it is several years old. Probably older than the computer. Thanks Jonathan. I ¡®m going to print this out and keep it with the computer.

Re: MacBook Air fan

Re: What does this mean and can it be fixed?
Thanks Lee. I think Karelia no longer supports Sandvox. Their web site does not mention any OS later than Mavericks. Their FB page doesn¡¯t have any posts past 2016. I can open Karelia¡¯s Sandvox (a

My guess¡ It likely means their server is borked. It seems they are using MySQL¡ªa relational database¡ªto keep track of forum messages and either it crashed, or the internal connection is

Phishing email from Tumi
Hi all, My wife got a 'thank you for her order' phishing email allegedly from Tumi (high-end luggage and bags). The email was sadly very clever. All the links pointed back to Tumi's real site. The

Re: bluetooth keyboard
That¡¯s awesome, Harry! I have seen Apple replace a lot of things in over three and a half decades of buying their stuff. They charge a lot for it, but they REALLY want you to be happy with it.
