Excel Help

开云体育

This isn’t a direct Mac question, but can be as Excel for me is on a Mac.

I’m going to send chicken tracks, meaning nothing, most of the time.

Johnathan programmed two tables for me several years ago, I’m taking the important items from each table into an Excel Spreadsheet.? It’s tedious but it works.

I need help programming just a couple cells, I’ve tried everything, combination after combination so it’s going to take a real expert, at least I think.

First, just to show? what I do each day, for both the 10 Year Treasury Note and the 30 Year Treasury Bond.? You can see the screen is split between the 30 year on top, the 10 year on the bottom.

Next it’s the center of the spreadsheet I need help with cell calculations.? The color scheme is important, once you see the area needing help, the BLUE cell with black print is the TOTAL that I’ve calculated, the YELLOW cell with red print is the DIFFERENCE.

Here is the first challenge. ?

1.? If both are positive the calculation is not hard, if both are negative, the same. The problem is when one is positive and the other is negative.

2.? The second challenge is getting the real difference to be either a positive or negative ANSWER. ?

If the BLUE total is larger than the YELLOW difference then the result should read a NEGATIVE number.? If the YELLOW change is larger than the total BLUE then the result should result in a POSTIVE number.? My samples will show what I’m saying.

I’m sorry this is laborious, I have to give a detailed explanation. ?

Is all this worth it?? I hope so.? My methods of market analysis doesn’t use the standard dozens of studies, you know most of them.? I have never wanted to approach it that way, often it takes a lengthly period of time before the studies align to give an answer.

I want an answer, day by day.? Period.? One decision.? One time.? Done for the day.

Does it work, I’m batting a high percentage but if I can get this final calculation it will greatly improve my odds.

So, I hope what i place below is understandable.?

Again, the data from Jonathan’s two FileMaker tables are where these numbers come from, one day I hope to stop my search and begin to learn Filemaker, that will make all this much easier.

The first is the entire spreadsheet.? To view remove to your desktop, it’s wide.

Entire Spreadsheet.png

Next is just the center of the spreadsheet.? This one shows the numbers for both instruments, 10 year and 30 year. ?

?Now I’ll center on the cells I need the calculations. I’ll only show the 30 year, the top instrument, no need cluttering this more than it already is.

First is the left side of the 30 year. ? The bottom line says YELLOW Time Chg, the 7,745 is larger than the BLUE 1601 next to it, so the answer is going to be a positive number.? The purple is one of the many calculations Excel has given me with my erroneous rules for the cell.? Also note, the POSITIVE 6144 is the difference between the 7745 and the 1601. Since they are both positive numbers the answer is an easy one.

Just numbers on left of 30.png

Below are the number on the right side for the 30 year.? In this case the BLUE Total is a larger number -21079 then the Yellow change 1,951.? So the resulting output is the -19,128, not the purple number, in this case the BLUE number is a negative number so the resulting -19,128.

Just numbers on right of 30.png

This may be quite confusing, and the easiest may be for someone to direct me to an Excel expert, online if you know of one.

Thanks a bunch, I always appreciate this group.

John

Thanks to both of you, I found Cloud Convert to work perfectly and no cost.

Several of the others wouldn’t get the job done or charge a $45.00 a month fee after 7 days.

I’m now using it on an iPad as an ePub file. ?I love it with this format as the highlighted items I can export to an email, leaving the dross to remain in the document.

Re: The Courier-Journal E-Edition Article - Tariffs on electronics from China exempt

A very hard time for the US, pain for most everyone but this global economy has put our country in a precarious position, the items we must have to survive are controlled by our enemies. On top of that China holds trillions of our bonds & they could throw us into total chaos if they were willing to take the hit & dump our assets. Lastly for decades we have sent our wealth overseas, to the tune of 30-50 billion a month. Buffett said that is a way to destroy our country, just think about all this. If it doesn’t change we will be defeated without a single shot fired.

Re: Unknown body of water on Weather app

Apple is getting killed isn’t it, once again Buffett is wise in his investing decisions by dumping much of his Apple.

Tariffs are going to really hurt Apple, stock should go low enough to become a buy.

Much of everything we consume is made in China, the one that really bothers is Pharmaceuticals, man they make most of the drugs we consume…not a good idea and by tearing up everyones stocks, retirements, it’s hoped that in the long run we will bring much of industry back to this country. The pain in the short term is not going to be good.

Not that anyone Trump-adjacent would care about facts, but in fact Biden’s order banned oil drilling off the coast of Florida and much of the Atlantic and Pacific coasts under the authority of the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act. He did not (and could not) ban it in the Gulf of Mexico (or even in the Golf of Mexico, which sounds like Trump’s latest resort proposal in Cozumel). Although Trump has issued an executive order to overturn Biden’s order (which will be challenged in the courts) it has nothing to do with the renaming of the Gulf.

But just to keep more on topic, hey, how’s your Apple stock doing since Liberation Day?
