Thanks Everett and Simon, and to Steve I have found his comprehensive list, I should have searched better.
However, are these low measured NFs just for the very low input Z loop preamps like the LZ1AQ or would they apply when used in Norton or conventional 50 ohm CE amp similar to the W7IUV type or Steve's just posted?
Also if most of these devices are obsolete, what LN transistor capable of passing a reasonable current do you now recommend is best to use for these various preamps.? It was interesting reading that someone managed to get some thicker copper PCB to act as a better heatsink for the slightly larger SMD devices.
