I built a 10' circumference loop made of 3/8" copper tubing some time ago, and only used it once at 5w with a lossy capacitor.? Very hard to tune.
I'd like to try using coax as a capacitor (as with w2bri's loops made with copper pipe), and plan to try this for 20m and 17m at qrp levels.?
(I'm too cheap to buy a good tuning capacitor.)
Has anyone tried using a loop of these dimensions on 40m at qrp levels?? I calculated that the loop would be something like 6% efficient on 40m.
