Guys,

I run all environments, however, most of my hamming today is run from Linux (Ubuntu and Mint).

Trying to leverage Wine is a non-starter for most - while I have gotten it to work in many cases, it was worse than staying on Windows. ?I have volunteered to beta HRD on Linux - I am not holding my breath.

That's right, I use linux Gridtracker2 which now has autoupdate (On all
OS)? alongside HRD under bottles, and linux wsjtx.

HRD provides a realiable radio interface for some radios that hamlib and
other 3rd party interfaces do not, supporting rig split? etc,

better without issue.

For macOS I compile my own wsjtx, but have also tried windows wsjtx
under crossover in MacOS with very good results.

that would possibly suggest a shared IP at the host, but one on port 80 and one on port 443

Many posts on this in the past. Your browser is forcing the use of ¡°HTTPS://¡° because of security certificate issue caused by your browser. ?Dave¡¯s site may be reached if you override that.

Don't blame you.? I was basically in the same boat a few months ago.? I had run my ham hobby on a windows, XP, 7, 10, and 11 machines along with lots of automation, rotor programs, contest programs, etc, etc.? I had reached the end of what I was willing to put up with on Windows and decided to make the switch.?
?
I have not tried wine bottles or crossover as just mentioned.? Perhaps that is worth a try and maybe the best of both worlds.?

It runs great.

Same for Fldigi and it's family of apps. There are Linux versions.

If you plan to stay with HRD, then why not just stay with Windows?? Setting up a Linux machine and then running your ham station in a VM on the Linux machine is not overly complicated, but, it is quite a bit more involved than just plugging a USB into a native windows machine.
