Re: Remote power control #flrig #hamlib

Thanks Jeff,

I was looking for a solution that fits in the use of hamlib and flrig for the case where the rig gets powered off once started (very rare I know - just trying to make the system fool-proof).

I use the feature in flrig to power on when flrig starts and power off when it closes. So I can always close flrig and reopen it to restart the rig. It would have been nice to know that it had powered off rather than just not responsive.

Hi Phil -
?
I think I added custom commands for power on/off to flrig in the past, but I wasn't satisfied for some reason.
?
I usually use AI0J's "ICOM Power Tool" python script. I have shortcuts (or shell scripts) to launch it for both power on and off. It gives a little bit of feedback (a message that says if the rig accepted the command.) It is available here:?
