Re: Just a note to LDG users that have tuners that act funny.
Unfortunately, I am using the tuner remoted at the base of my flagpole vertical and tuning it with the tune function in my Icom 756 Pro III, so I cannot adjust the tune and memorize it. As an example,

Re: FDT710 work with LDG Z-100A
EDD I do not have any diagram of the pin outs but. The LDG-Z100A comes with 7 different cables. Cable 109 goes to the FT10Dx and the 108 works on the FT710. Here is what I posted on the FT710 IO

Re: Just a note to LDG users that have tuners that act funny.
Check the manual for your particular tuner. From the factory, I believe the setting is 1.7:1, but on most of them, you can set that threshold to be lower. Meaning, it'll tune until it reaches 1.7 or

Re: Just a note to LDG users that have tuners that act funny.
Doug is correct.? I oftentimes refine the tune manually, as he mentions, and then I save that solution into memory so that it will go back to that setting the next time I am near that frequency.?

Re: RU-49:1 Any plans to bring it back ?
Assuming have the tuner in full auto tuning mode you, you should be able to just start transmitting and it will seek the learned memory channel automatically. If you are running in semi auto mode you

Re: RU-49:1 Any plans to bring it back ?
There are so many options to acquire a 49:1 UNUN, build your own from parts or buy one from an on-line retailer, I got a very nice one from a chap in France via eBay, well built too (1KW), I just had

Re: RU-49:1 Any plans to bring it back ?
I think the EFHW using? 49:1 transform remains a viable option with performance similar to a center-fed half wave with the additional advantage of working on several bands. ARRL sells a simple 4 band

Re: RU-49:1 Any plans to bring it back ?
I have an LDG 600 Pro II tuner. Every time I change bands I put the xcvr into AM mode, hold down the Tune button and press the transmit button on the mic, when the bars on the pwr display come

Hi Wyatt I wonder if you would post your 8 pin mini din to 3.5mm Jack wiring diagram here? I am struggling to get my account approved on the FT 710 group for some reason. Many thanks in advance. Edd

Re: Just a note to LDG users that have tuners that act funny.
I have a 1000 and a 600. They both behave the same. Many times when a match is made and SWR is hardly perfect I adjust the inductance or capacitance manually and very often can get a better match. The

Re: Just a note to LDG users that have tuners that act funny.
LDG tuners tune to 1.5:1 and stop.? If one is getting 3:1 it would indicate the tuner tried to tune, could not get it and timed out.? The LDG tuners do have time limit for tuning, gives up.? Most

Re: Just a note to LDG users that have tuners that act funny.
If true, that is unfortunate as 3:1 at the radio results in reduced power output. What metric other than SWR is the AMU unit using to optimize? Sent: Thursday, December 29, 2022 8:07 AM To:

Using the AT-200Pro (II) with the Yaesu FTdx-5000
There is sold a cable ( LDG-IC-2000) to interface several of the LDG tuners to the Yaesu FT-2000. Some buzz existed that this cable could also be used with the Yaesu FTdx-5000. And, from this

All AMUs pass up apparent good matches as they seek the most efficient match. "Appearance of 1:1" is not the goal. 73, Kent K9ZTV

My AT-600 Pro II acts the same way. I thought it was normal. Press to turn on, press and hold to turn off and I assumed the relays clicking was the unit going into bypass. After reading the blog, I
