That statement makes me wonder if you don't have a current draw/PS issue. The tuner has no way of messing with the frequency display. That sounds like a power glitch.? |

Thanks for the proposal!

I had similar thought, since the LDG has 1MOhm pull-up resistor before the comparator, but the simple dummy-tuning schematics (like I attached in my previous reply) operate usually with 10-47kOhm.
?
I will try it tomorrow evening.

Have a nice day,

Re: Icom IC-706MK2 IC-706MK2G vs LDG AT-100ProII Autotuner issue
The only communication from the radio to the tuner is via the tip of the radio plug on the tuner. When it is pulled low it signals the pic controller on the tuner to initiate a tune cycle. The ring terminal on the same plug is to signal the radio to initiate a carrier for a tune cycle. It is initiated by a signal from the pic to transistor Q1 to pull this line low. There is no serial communications at all. The complete schematic is in the files section of this group.

Icom IC-706MK2 IC-706MK2G vs LDG AT-100ProII Autotuner issue
Hello Everyone,
?
I sent an e-mail with the below content to the LDG by Today, but maybe you have ideas about the issue of my equipment.
?
I need your kindly technical support, which is belonging to my new LDG AT-100ProII Autotuner.
?
I have two Icom IC-706 radios, a 706MK2 and a 706MK2G. I bought an LDG AT-100ProII Autotuner Yesterday.
?
When I connect it with the 706MK2, everything is perfect, the radio detects the tuner and works with it properly.
?
However, if I connect the tuner to the 706MK2G with the same cable, same conditions, the radio does not detect the tuner at all. This means that the red LED does not even flash when I press the Tuner/Call button on the radio. I did a factory reset on the MK2G, but it didn't help.
I have tested the tune interface of 706MK2G with the well-known dummy tuning circuits from the Internet to activate the tune service of the Icom, everything looks perfect.? ?
Do you have any idea, why my 706MK2G is not compatible with the AT100ProII??
?
My feeling is, that the radio does not detect the tuner due to any communication mismatch, maaybe some electrical part is out of the range.?
Is it possible to get the complete schematic of just the communication part of the AT100ProII schematic?

Thank you in Advance,?
