Schematics

Are the old schematics that were on the old Yahoo group going be posted here?

Re: Schematics

The manuals, schematics, photos and firmware are available in the Files section. Three are three categories, Current Products, Discontinued Tuners and Discontinued Misc.

AT-1000ProII Stopped Working?

My one week old tuner has frozen.? I had it connected to my IC-7300 and it matched everywhere I tuned.? I was very impressed!

Two days ago, I tried to check into a local net and might as well not have turned the radio on.? I had no output.? A check of things shows Infinite SWR presented to the radio resulting in no output.? I connected my AH-4 Auto Tuner and everything seems normal.

Is this a fault in the tuner or do I need to reset it?? Any advise would be appreciated.? If nothing here, I ill contact LDG, as I understand their Tech Support is great.

Thanks everyone.

AT-1000ProII Stopped Working?

Hi, Everyone,

Just got my LDG AT-1000ProII last week and after a no hassle hookup to my IC-7300, it matched everywhere I went, using a 200 feet long wire with a 9:1 UNUN..? Yay!

A few days ago, I tried to check into our local 75M Morning Net and it was as if I had not pressed the mic. button. I discovered that there was Infinity SWR presented to the 7300 back from the AT-1000.

I connected the 7300 up to my AH-4 with a 23 foot long wore, as recommended by ICOM and all is well.

Has anyone had this problem?? If so, how did you cure it?

Available Service RE: LDG1000Pro

is there service/support available for LDG1000Pro Tuner ?

Re: AT-1000ProII Stopped Working?

Bob,

?

You are missing basic fault finding.

?

You eliminated the possible cause of the fault (the 200 foot long wire with 9:1 unun)

?

Connect the AH-4 to the 200 ft long wire with 9:1 and test that.

?

If you are using the 1000, I presume you are using High power, unless you paid ?$100 or more for the balun? I would suspect that the balun is only rated for about 300 watts.

?

If you have an antenna (dipole etc) you can connect to the 1000 test that. If you have a dummy load connect that and try it.

?

Let us know how you go.

?

Cheers

Re: AT-1000ProII Stopped Working?

Thanks for the reply, Neil.

I've been recovering from surgery and hadn't felt up to reconnecting things, but your suggestions are "on my list".? Hi.

Actually, I'm only using 100 Watts from the radio.? The UNUN is a home brew unit that's getting around to 3 years of age.? As soon as I'm up to it, I will replace that.

Thanks for the reply.? I was beginning to think that this was another non-functional website.

Re: Available Service RE: LDG1000Pro

Hi,

I had an issue with the 1000 Pro here a few months ago. I sent an email to LDG describing the problem and Dwayne got back to me within a couple hours (I think it was after hours if I remember correctly). Although there was no need for me to send the tuner in for repair, Dwayne worked with me to get the issue resolved. I would at least ask them about sending the tuner in for repair.

Re: AT-1000ProII Stopped Working?

Hi,

I have owned several LDG tuners (still do) and have had a couple of them act like they were locked up - not able to get out of Bypass, or will not tune while holding the Tune button down with a long press. Try pressing either the one of the C UP/C DN or L UP/L DN buttons to see if that will get the tuner operating.

YT-100 Remote LED

I just acquired the YT-100 and familiarized myself with the tuner.? I'm planning to install it somewhere in the car and the remote tuning button is quite an interesting feature.? Unfortunately a wiring for an auxiliary LED isn't provided.? So far it seems like it's quite important to see the LED for the timing of the various features of the single switch.?

If you have used one of these tuners in a remote location do you feel it's important to see the LED?
Did you wire yourself an external LED to the unit?

It's kind of a shame that LDG didn't use the center pin for an external LED.? I wonder if the center pin is connected something on the board or if I could use it and run a wire to the internal LED.

Re: AT-1000ProII Stopped Working?

Hi, Mike,? I felt well enough to come down here to the shack and re-connected the tuner, set the power back to around 15W and tried the "Long Press" of the "Tune", "L Up" and a few other buttons and things seem to be back to normal.

Thanks for the tip.? Sometimes, things get "stopped up" and need cleaned out.

Sent for Repair Re: Available Service RE: LDG1000Pro

Mike (KD9CK)

I had called and emailed but did not receive a reply.... after? receiving feedback from several 'hams' like yourself -
Yesterday, I downloaded the?Repair Form and sent the unit to LDG.
I appreciate the feedback - THANK YOU !!!

Re: YT-100 Remote LED

Can't comment explicitly on YT100 but had my Z11pro mounted in back of jeep for 10 years. Never missed seeing the LEDs.

Software updates

Hi,
I had not been able to post onto the last (Yahoo) group, as I cancelled my account when Yahoo was taken over.
I had seen some mention of updates to the firmware for various tuners.
Is that still ongoing? My tuner is the AT-600ProII.

Re: Software updates

Hi Guy,

Try looking here - it's a form to send to LDG asking about firmware updates:

Re: Software updates

Hi Mike,

The reason for my vague message is that I have been in private contact with Dwayne on this matter for some time and did not feel it appropriate to let anything discussed into a public forum. I was just asking a general question to give Dwayne the chance to say something on the forum.

Re: Software updates

Hi all,

I am jumping in, recently joined the group.
Side question related to software to be used with the AT600-ProII : where can one get the?LDG Tuner GUI mentionned on LDG website in the "downloads" section?
Cf. page 2 of?
Actually there is a file in the download section of the LDG web site but the said file does not include anything usable except an uninstall utility.
After sending an email to "contact us", Dwayne told me to come here and look in the "Files" section.?
The "Files" folder contains the same ZIP and thus generates the same result at the end.
Anyone here having a valid archive of the GUI ??

Re: Software updates

Hi Claude,

I just installed the tuner program (downloaded from LDG AT-600 ProII page Downloads tab) - it installed and the GUI came up on the screen looking just like the pic on the press release .pdf. I don''t have the cable to test with, but at least the program ran. I am using Windows 10 Pro 64 bit on a Microsoft Surface Pro computer.

Re: Software updates

Hi Mike,

Ah, thanks for your answer. Now this is interesting for on my side I get only an uninstall utility in the folder.
But after some tries I have found the problem : the exe file is installed in the default install folder (c:\Program files(x86)\LDG_Tuner) even when the user provides a different install folder (disk D for ham softs in my case).
So the setup utility needs here to take into account the user choice :)
Thanks for your try, that helped me finding the bug. I have sent and email to Dwayne for information.
