Cable for Yaesu FT2000d to mate to LDG 1000 pro2?

I believe most yeasu HF rigs like FT950, FT 1000mp mark V and FT 2000d have a db25 serial jack and a din jack for linear. Is there a cable pin out gor these primarily want it to auto tune the Pro 1000 ii to a FT2000d if possible...

Found a photo of it.? The IC-706 Mk-IIg radio face was hung from under the top shelf.? The IC-706 Mk-IIg main chassis and the LDG tuner was up above the shelf just above the face.? And the Power supply was to the left on the shelf.? It was a couple of months after we got it working that he died.? IIRC, it had a 4-wire control cable and was controlled by the TUNE function of the radio.

IC-7000.? I -=THINK=- I have a tuner here in a box somewhere, an LDG-7000?? It was made to work with the IC-7000.? The IC-706 has the same tuner interface, and this “7000” (if that is the right number) was used for a short time, a WW-II veteran was stuck in an assisted living center, no antennas allowed.? We got a piece of Stealth Wire out the window and into a tree.? The head of grounds maintenance saw it, but he was a Viet Nam vet and gave the wire approval.

Shortly after all of this, the WW-II vet died.? I was willed all his equipment. And its in a box here somewhere.? Was there an LDG-7000 tuner for the Icom line?? Maybe I should find it all and see what I have.? I doubt I’ll ever use it, IC-706 Mk-IIg and a tuner.? I think there was a PS-xx power supply too.? PS-55?? It was all Icom gear and the small tuner, that’s all I remember.

I presently?have an IT-100 tuner.

What tuner do I need which will detect the new frequency and select the correct memory location for that band?

Thanks in advance.

And have a happy and safe holidays!

Best I can tell, if it thinks the best SWR is without it intervening it will go to bypass. If it's not intended behavior though that would be good to know.

I experience the same behavior when using my hexbeam on certain bands.? My interpretation is that the tuner determines the antenna is is at it's best match with the tuner bypassed.? If my SWR meter is to be believed, I see less than 1.2:1 when that happens.? I haven't noticed it going into bypass with my OCF dipole.

Re: AT-1000 Pro II Split Tuner and Control Board?

You will be successful!? I’d like to see how you split the tuner!?

I do very much like you are thinking about, only at the 100-watt level.? I run battery/solar, using 2 x 100Ah batteries and 400-watts of solar.? Depending on the configuration, I’ll run a 43-ft vertical, an 86-ft end-fed wire or a 135-ft end fed wire as an Inverted-L with some number of radials.? The tuner is -=ALWAYS=- out at the end of the coax where it actually helps, not at (or inside) the radio where it only fools the transmitter.

This photo was taken the week before Thanksgiving. ?If you look at the tree behind the JEEP you will see a 43-ft Fiberglass Vertical sticking up in the tree.? When I can push the antenna up through the branches it usually needs no guying.? But is makes it more difficult to deploy the Inverted-L.? When the 86-ft 0r 135-ft Inverted-L can be deployed, I am highly successful on 160m – 10m using the LDG RT-100 tuner.? When the 43-ft Vertical is deployed, the RT-100 only gets me 80m – 10m.? If I want 160m I need to use the SGC-237 tuner as it has more tuning range.

Both tuners in all of the antenna configurations reach a good SWR on 6m.? But I’ve not been able to get contacts on 6m mostly because we go so remote that the nearest station in many miles away.? This photo was taken in the Texas Big Bend region.? The nearest town was Study Butte TX, about 50 miles away.? From this photo, about 80-ft to the left was the Rio Grande River, and the Mexican Border.? We were that far out.? Over 500 HF contacts were logged in a week, mostly on 40m, but including Canary Islands, South Africa, and 10 other countries (all on 40m).? If you build it well, I think you’ll be satisfied.

Oh – 2m/70cm vertical on the trailer, capabilities are 160m thru 70cm all-modes.

I hope to find time to experiment with this in the near future, and will report results, success and fails.

Random length, very long balanced dipole, balun, tuner.
Tuner and dipole feed point same or as close as possible.
Then 50 Ohm coax to shack about 50 feet away.

Dipole antenna is in service, about 125 feet each leg. "V" config, not inverted V.
Want to do impedance transformation at feed point. (apex of roof)
Want to keep 50 ohm feed line as a 50 ohm feed line.

That is the vision, will post results as known.

After recently changing the connectivity to my 80m OCFD antenna, I am forcing "full" tunes ("long" button press) to re-populate the tuner memory with valid settings, but the SWR in low 80m is usually now worse than the bypass SWR!

have you checked all the relays ? I had a blown contact into one of the relays and it was never able to obtain the proper loading obviously but only on certain band and frequencies... replaced the relay and problem solve for me.

Re: AT-1000ProII Auto High/Low Relay Adjustment Fail 3.5 MHz to 4.0 MHz

Thanks for your reply, Alezis!

The "High/Low" relay works when I tune manually. It also works automatically after I save my manual setting to memory and recall it later with a short press on the Tune button (or press my IC-7100's tune button) I can here the High/Low relay click when I press the button to actuate it manually. It just doesn't work when it automatically searches for a good tune, so I still think this is a firmware bug.
