2nd Battle for Attu, GT 11
Gents, I have sent reports for the 11th game turn of the game. Please issue your new orders within a week (before 9 November). I am a bit upset to constat that once again three players did not issue their orders. I understand that they may forget once, or have some problems, but in final analysis, it is not possible to continue the game if participant do not issue their orders on a regular basis. I invite all people concerned to do their best efforts on the matter. I am also a bit upset with the way some of you write their orders. I ask you for months to follow a process that is designed to help me running the game. Since about half the player do not follow my recommandations, I have to do a lot of homework to have all the orders as they should be. I am fed up to repeat the same things and made the decision to simplify the order sheets. Just write down your orders and messages as you wish in the 'orders' paragraph. I am sorry if you feel that my message is a bit bitter. You must understand that running such a big game is very complex and time consuming. I wish all of you do their best to ease my job. Some of you indeed do, but some other, for some reasons, do not. Once again, I repeat that the game can go on only if all the participants do what I request (issueing good orders in time). I had to overcome some technical problems, and find some free time to run the turn (I had a damn lot of work this last weeks). But above all, there are problems with the players in general. About one third of the orders were missing and half of the orders that were issued were not done as required. The cold math is that only one third of the players did the thing right. ? Please understand that running the game in this conditions is a pain. I have to do for you all the work you don't do. It takes me too much time and energy. What I ask is neither complex nor time consuming, but since I have to do it for more than 10 players, it becomes really complex, time consuming, as well as boring for me. ? So please, do the necessary to issue your orders in time and with the right process, otherwise the game will fail. And thanks for those who make things the right way. ? Francis |
