ick. I *hate* this stuff. The crystal turn into the most horrific chemical slurry as they absorb moisture and are one use throw-away things.
I recommend the reusable silica gel granules instead.. they can be bought in bulk or already inside permeable bags. when they change color, pop them in microwave or oven to recharge. I¡¯ve got an air dryer on my air compresor that is filled with these and even after 10+ uears of use, it has not needed recharge, so they can last quite a long time. ?You can also get them in food-grade in little packets if you like your salt in a skakeable format ?
I¡¯ve used these to keep containers of clothing mold-free in containers in the tropics, but there¡¯s no reason to pay for food-grade if it is not going in food. ?

We put 2 of these (Charcoal see attached photo) in each hull. 2 in the saloon we have never had mold or mositure. Once in the Seychelles 4 months Once in Thailand 3 months. The important thing is that the boat doesn't get opened once you set them off.?
