?Can’t help. Great story but
never heard it. Yes, my mom and dad liked Delaware Park
and the races. They didn’t go often as they could not afford it. They
married on Kentucky Derby Day Saturday May 6, 1933. In the early days,
mushrooms were not grown in the summer because of the heat & no A/C. Many
of the growers would spend day after day at Delaware Park.
They loved the Ponies.

Uncle Tony Pannell and his brothers were bettors on horses as were Pop

them. On the Leo side I can’t think of anyone who would have a system

That is a funny story—my two cousins having a memorable time at the Deer Park. ?I went there many times in all four years and don’t have a story to tell. ?Or maybe I just don’t remember.

What a trip that was! I heard the story from Dino and Joy many times. I think they stayed all together in one hotel room. Is that right? And, couldn’t stop Mamie from talking.

Hello all. Things are good and boring here in Lancaster for Stephanie and I. Health is good, no 'rona, and our income wasn't impacted. We also managed to stay married through 10 weeks of contractors all over our house during the quarantine. New roof, siding, spouting, kitchen and laundry. The next project is our dining room and we no longer have room for our china cabinet (nor do we have any fine china to display - we're anti knick knacks). It belonged to Rosalie, then Joy , then me. I wanted to offer it to any family first before I give it to a Medigan. So Fay, Laura, nieces, nephews... Anyone?
Cheers,?
