Was chatting with my favorite brother recently. He said something in passing that reminded me of a story dad used to tell about an uncle of his that neither Rand or I could remember whom it was. The story went that this guy only played the ponies from the racing forms in the daily paper. He’d bet on a horse race and if he won, the $2.00 would go in his bank account. If the horse lost,?he’d take the bills out of one pocket and put it in the other pocket. Granted, the story may?have been fiction, hell, the uncle may?have been fiction. It could have been an ethics lesson on gambling. Who knows? If anyone can flesh out this random memory please share what you know. I still tell people the story when asked if I’ve bought a?lottery ticket for the millions. So even if it was just a story I figured it plays well as family lore...
